APPROACH TO TRAINING
As in all the martial arts, a student's personal approach to training is one of the most important elements.
It is always important to be attentive and listen to your judo teacher. By listening, not only can you gain the maximum benefit from your classes, but it may also be vital to your safety.
Because a successful judo throw is based on the principle of breaking balance, your teacher is in the position to observe and evaluate all the aspects of the attempt. Even some aspect or detail that may appear insignificant might make the difference between a throw being successful or putting yourself in a position where your opponent may throw you.
Always treat your training partner with the respect and care that you would expect to receive, because without training partners, you would not be able to
practice and acquire the necessary skill to master each technique successfully.
